Snow in April

Last week we had been surprised by a blizzard during our Easter holidays in Waldviertel ("forest quarter") in the northern part of Lower Austria. The graphic quality of this forest scene was especially interesting to me. Just a fleeting moment, and I had to protect myself and my gear.

We got some late spring snow too Silvia. This is very nice. I like the way that the snow has stuck to so many surfaces and have added detail and definition to the scene.

Apparently, this unusual snow in Austria inspired several of you! The WP for Landscape this week was also a beautiful Austrian snow scene.
This is soft and muted, and very peaceful and serene.
Well seena nd well-captured!

Very beautiful and painterly. Good choice of the woodpile with trees in front and behind. Congratulations on the Weekly Pick---it is well-deserved.
