Here's one from last spring's migration on the Texas coast, looking forward to getting out soon and photographing this year's.  Taken at Port Aransas, TX during our migration workshop last spring.  Charlie VanTassel was one of the participants.
Canon 5D3 500F4 1.4x 1/2500 F8, iso 1000, lying on my stomach.

Lovely, Nate.  The low angle really paid off on this one.  I love the reflections here.

Very nice Nate!  I really like the point of view on this one and the soft color and water make this a wonderful image.  Someday it'll be warm enough for me to get down on my belly also...

Lovely image, Nate. Pleasant and calm setting, in great light. The pose makes the image for me though. Great work devil, cheers, Hans

Awesome Photo Nate!!! I really like your low perspective and the supporting color pallet surrounding the sandpiper.

Wow! The lower angles always pay off! I love the "creaminess" of everything around him, as it helps him stand out more while looking very pleasing to the eye. Just a stunner, Nate.

Couldn't ask for a better image, Nate.  Colors, comp, clean BG and low angle are all near perfection.  My friend Mia McPherson would totally agree with the "on the stomach" approach. devil
