The warm light and colors in the jackal and grasses, and details are really nice here Sandy. It looks like it has a bit of indigestion over the last hedgehog, or whatever it just ate... I love the expression. Or it is just really tired from being out all night carousing and having to get up early to go to work. I've heard it both ways. I might be tempted to clone out the road with some short clipped grass and post this in the Wildlife Gallery. Just kidding, I would never stoop to cloning around like that. I seriously don't understand why there aren't a bunch of comments on your photo here Sandy. This is a really good, clear look at this animal.

My what big teeth you have. Seriously, I like the pose, the detail and the warm light. The jackal is an example of reverse migration across the Siberian land bridge per the author of "Coyote America" . Our coyote became Africa's jackal.
