Rhododendron

There's a very showy gathering of rhododendron bushes in a local garden which I try to photograph every year. This is one effort.

Nice color and details Ian. I sort of wonder about the image being rotated 90 degrees to the left. Overall this works well - though I wonder about seeing it in completely diffused light.

I love the color of this flower and the light coming out of the center.

I would like to see this rotated to the left as Nathan has suggested, if for no other reason than to give the border an even dimension all the way around.

Rhododendrons, for me, are a very difficult subject and you have a really nice result. Good detail, color and perspective. Nicely done.

Ian, I love the light on the stamens and in the chalice of the flower, a great suggestion.

I agree 100% with Patricia about shooting rhodies, but you did well with this one, Ian. Excellent use of the light.
