Goldfinches

We have a wonderful flock of American Goldfinches that we are enticing to stay, with never-ending bags of niger thistle (at least until we go broke).   We sometimes have 20-25 birds all lined up and fighting for their turn at the 10 feeder openings. Great fun to watch!
When we take the feeders down (as here) to refill them,  we have a crew of little yellow supervisors watching us,  to be sure the feeders are full and back up as soon as possible.

Wonderful image, Sandy. In addition to being artistic, I think this image would be quite marketable. Kudos. devil

Are those trained goldfinches or what? This is amazing. Love the perfect spacing, the bright colors, great DOF, balance, and as Scott has said, very marketable. What a fun photo Sandy.

Wow, Sandy, this is an awesome shot!  Perfect spacing between them too.  They do appear to be trained!  You are blessed to have that many (although it is costing you feed), to have such photo opportunities.  Great capture.
