Castle Geyser erupts

A puzzle to be sold in Yellowstone gift stores.  Castle geyser erupts with the 4pm sun low enough in the sky to produce a rainbow in the falling mist.  (5D3, 24-70 f2.8 @ 38mm, 1/250 s, f/11, iso 200, tripod and polarizer)  In this case the polarizer darkened the upper sky a bit too much for my taste, but it was required to see the rainbow clearly.  Interestingly, enough when I set up about 20 yard to the right, the polarizer turned the sky black!

I think I have seen this one in the NP Stores Mark. It looks like it would be simple, but this would be a very complex puzzle to solve with the clouds and sky and grey rock. I really like the low rainbow in the water here too.

Excellent Yellowstone image and submission for the theme, Mark. I like the way the steam fills the sky, and the ground steambow is really nice. Good thinking to submit this for the theme with the added venue where the puzzle would be sold.

I think it would loose out to Old Faithful puzzles, but still a challenging one.  TFS

Mark, very well composed and timed.  I really like the placement of the rainbow.  I know its given by the position of the sun and the refractive index of water, but its placement fits so well into the image.
