Ethereal

I like the ethereal effect of this photo.  The Barn Swallow was resting on an aluminum railing on a ramp leading down to a dock along the Siuslaw River.  I rested the camera/lens on the railing and shot down on the Swallow.

Canon 7d Mark II
Sigma 150-600 at 500 mm
1/1000 at f6.3
ISO 320
Processed in LR and PS, mainly the Swallow with the background pretty much as photographed.

Thanks for looking, comments and suggestions appreciated.

That is a really cool effect Allen, it looks like he's floating in space, well seen and executed! devil

This is real different and a very interesting effect.  With the reflections, it almost looks as if it was shot through glass however it does not sound as if that was the case.  The more I look at it, the more I see how the surface of the aluminum picked up the surroundings in a very subtle way.  I think you had a pretty good eye to see this.

This is incredibly cool, Allen.  I've done similar things with wooden railings, but the aluminum with the blue bg is just over the top.
