I really like this shot. The landing pose is great. Good wing detail and the whites are handled well.

Indeed Gary. This is a great head on view and you did an amazing job capturing detail and colors on a grey day. Drifting in nice and slow on the breezes.

I agree with what the others have said. I'm pretty impressed with what your camera is able to do with respect to levels of detail and subtleties in tonal values. This is a nice image.

Really nice detail in this Kittiwake, Gary. You captured a really nice pose. You did a great job with the exposure, you captured all of the white and gray tones really well. Excellent job!!!
