Among the Islands

<div>In its 32 mile length, Lake George in the Eastern Adirondacks has more then 180 islands.  </div> <div>I don't spend nearly as much time there as I should.  As much as I enjoy the lake, it's a struggle to compose photographs to do it justice.  I needed a two-shot panorama for this shot.  I tried to hold my canoe in position in the breeze 5 times to get two rapid shots to stitch together.  In the end, Photoshop CC handled the stitching perfectly.

Looks like a lovely place.  I too sometimes struggle to convey how much I love a place in a photograph sometimes, though I do like how certain place make me want to try hard to do so. This is certainly a pleasant scene and I can see why you enjoy visiting here.  My only thought might be to burn down the bright rock on the island.  Seems like it's catching my eye pretty strongly and competes somewhat with the trees.

Wayne, this is a lovely scene, and you did well handholding from a canoe. The sky looks very good given the wide angle of view with the polarizer. I agree with Tony about the bright rock, but not a big deal.

Beautiful scene. I would agree with Tony about the rock, but pretty minor. Great sense of place in the image. What a great spot to enjoy.
