A couple 2nd year Trumpeter Cygnets/Swans that I captured during a short break in a rain storm on the tide flats.  There were 8 of these young swans in the group.  This is one of the shots I took with just the 70-200mm, before I added the 2X converter.  A couple shots with the 2X will follow this post.

Sony a6500, FE 70-200 f2.8 GM @ 198mm, ISO-100, f/6.3, 1/640, hand held.

Nice overall balance, detail and dark mood on this Gary. Indeed it invokes the feeling of dark stormy skies. Large image is a must on this. You may want to try an alternate view without the upper water as it seems a bit overpowering.

Well I'm glad I'm the only one who doesn't get a lot of rain.Good behavioral view of these trumpeter swans.  I like the band of green in the middle of the image.

A nice job in these cloudy conditions, Gary. Not sure if this has been cropped, but if you have the pixels, you may try a comp with less of the water in the top of the frame. A very nice image as posted!!

I like the position of the birds in the frame, Gary, and the bird with the raised wings really works nicely.  I could live without the second bird as it doesn't add much to the image for me and draws attention from the main subject.
