For me one of Africa's most striking birds, also for me very difficult to get a decent shot.
This large crop was taken in Kidepo Valley National Park, Uganda.
EOS 1SX MkII
200-400 mm F4 with 1.4 EX at 560 mm
F8
ISO 800
1/1250

Very nice shot.  You did a good job with the harsh light.  Personally I'd crop this tighter to emphasize the bird.

Excellent detail, Ken, and a nice composition.  I just wish it was tuned toward you more.

This has excellent detail, and by the detail I don't think you could tell it is a large crop.  Maybe sometime you can get a better head turn, but I think this is great.

Thanks everybody for your comments and suggestions
This is already a large crop, I do not think it would stand more.
Wish for a better head turn as well, hopefully next time?
