Shangri-la

This is a compilation of two photos, one a photo I took at the San Francisco Asian Art Museum of an ink painting of landscape, and one a photo of Bridal Veil Falls that had a big rainbow, some boulders, and lots of mist. I decided to try to combine the two and would like your candid feedback on the result. My main concern is that it is too busy, but my second concern is that the photo of the falls may not blend well with the ink painting.

I processed in Lightroom and Photoshop. Thanks in advance for any comments or critiques.

Very creative, Kathy!  I really like this.  I just never think to try something like this.  I will have to give it a try some time.

This is really creative Kathy. I love the rainbow across the frame here. I wonder how it would look if you faded back the photo of the falls a bit more so the trees aren't quite so dark on the bottom? Cool idea and nice execution.

I really like the overall effective ot this work.  You maintained the Asian flavor in your composite.  I must admit, though, I would not have seen the waterfall if you hadn't mentioned it.  It would be interesting to see the two photos in their original state.
