Angelic Light

Good day y'all,

I have spent some time capturing images from the Lake Michigan area, and man do I love that lake. The Beach towns on the west side of Lake Michigan are so wonderful, and I love the energy over that way. This image was captured on a night with ever changing weather conditions. The storms would blow in and blow out every 30 minutes. I would cover up the camera equipment and capture images after the rain stopped. The last hour was rain free, and I saw an awesome range of light and conditions. This image felt like black and white right away.

I hope y'all enjoy this image, and thank you for any thoughts you may have on this capture.

Nicely done, Ryan. Seems to have a neat "healing" look & feel to the scene. Exposure latitude is right on too. laugh

Sweet Ryan.  Love the vertical frame for this image.  Feels like it could use a slight CW rotation.  Very minor.  Super b/w, love it.

Ryan, a fine look at a fascinating sky, with just enough lake to anchor the view.  I especially like the touch of crepuscular rays peeking through near the horizon.  I agree that there's an inspirational feeling to this view.
