Probably Africa's oddest looking antelope they are relatively rare found only in Tanzania, Kenya and Somalia.
This one was spotted in Samburu National Park, Kenya, unfortunately in shade.

Why unfortunately in the shade?  The subtle lighting and natural setting make this a find shot in my book.

Slender and elegant, Ken, and good timing for eye contact.  The surroundings look great, with the tall aspect of the subject, this would work great as a vertical crop.

I resisted commenting, just to see how others might react.  I find this to be a very, very nice combination of factors and here the shaded light feels like a strong positive.  This might be a favorite of your many postings!  The gerenuk is wonderfully lifted from the monochrome background, enough so that I studied the image to see if you had perhaps done some work in post processing for just that effect...but I think this is close to what you took and it has great effect.  The depth of field control feels perfect, the subject is full body in focus and the subject is the main item of color as well.  Well done, Ken.devil
