Hence ...continuing with the wasps, I got a tad closer using zoom,
7D, 70-200 F4L @ F18, 800 ISO, 1/50 , 200 MM with the raynox. Its was not about the getting the perfect picture, but yet another experiment

No, No, Balan, don't go any closer!!! Those eyes and face are wonderful! Your POV against the clear green background looks great.

Okay, I am with Mark, don't get any closer! Wow, what detail in those eyes and face. I love the angle that he is looking down at you, making him even more fierce looking. Wonderful detail, and lovely BG to make him stand out. Well done, Balan!

This looks like a great alien encounter Balan. Those eyes are amazing and the BG is really great.

Yeah, too close for my comfort but the eye contact is "scary" good. In my experience with macro a good pose and comp can make up for any loss of detail. I'd probably pedal back on the green saturation a bit.

Looks like that alien was spying on you, Balan! I like the point of view , Nice detail on those crazy eyes. Good to see that someone else is using a 70-200 for macros

Now that's a close-up! I love it. Great detail.
This is a shot I would never take since I don't react well to insect stings.

Hi Balan,
That is a good mugshot. She was checking you out and I'm sure you would have been paid with a stinger. Well done..............Jim

Great portrait of this wasp peeking around the corner. Beautiful eyes. The background colour nicely matches the colours of the wasp. Maybe clone or crop out the little green triangle in the LRC. Close to perfect imo.
