A slightly different perspective, based on Scott's and Harley's comments. This one also shows the small rainbow on the south end of the Chisos a bit better. I like the original more, but sort of see the reasons why this one may work better.

The dynamic sky really makes this shot, Alberto!  After looking at both versions I personally prefer this one.  The slightly higher POV provides a much better sense of distance and depth plus it has more of a 3D appearance.

I do prefer the higher perspective in this version, Alberto. The sky is still great but not quite as dramatic as in the previous image. The small rainbow is a nice bonus.

This one works better for me. I like the image depth created by this perspective. It is a real nice grand landscape.

Dynamic sky, great depth and the cactus with the red color makes a very nice foreground. Nice image.

I did like the low perspective of the last image.  Having said that, I think this one is better for all the reasons folks have commented on.  I still would clone the lone yucca stalk that sticks above the ridgeline. Very nice.

I love the natural beauty of this shot. No unusual perspective and a very straightforward composition, but the subject matter carries the image with great feeling. This doesn't have the contrived drama we so often make our images. BTW, a cloudy day like that in the summer can be so refreshing in the desert. The red fruits on the prickly pear cactus work pretty nicely for you. Definitely better than previous image. The color palette is very appealing to me in this image as well.

After looking at the previous version, I am torn between the two.  This sky in the previous one is more dramatic, but it makes me want to stand up and look over the cactus.  In this one, feel like I would like to crouch down just a little and get closer to the cactus, so they would occupy more of the foreground, and eliminate some of the foreground on the right side without removing the right side of the sky.  (You can do that sort of thing with some post-capture perspective control, but I don't think you are into that much image manipulation.)  Easy to say in hindsight, but I guess that's partly what this forum is for -- giving us ideas for the next time we might be so fortunate to encounter a scene like this. Meanwhile, this one will certainly do!

This has a nice depth to it and the drama laden sky compliments the landscape rather nicely, Alberto. I also like the small rainbow. My only suggestion; and this is being super picky; would be to clone out those two stalks that intersect with the BG mountain. Either way this is a beauty.
