Hood Canal gulls

by David Schoen

These seagulls were disturbed by an eagle coming to fish for sculpin on Hood Canal last week.  The sun was just coming up on a partially cloudy morning.  The sun hit the birds but little else was illuminated.

Iso 800, Sigma 150-600 mm at 500 mm, F9, 1250th, handheld, full frame, D 500, Topaz and TK actions

A nice array of Gulls here, David.  I like the lighting.

David: I like how the birds alone are lit in this frame. It certainly makes them stand out against the background. Richard

Hi David
The Gulls pop and the whites are under control. I think you could take little of the blue out of the background.
