This is another image of the black swallowtail larvae which transformed to the chrysalis stage of development. 180 mm f3.5 (1/10 sec at f16, ISO 125). The large view has better color and details than the small version........................Jim

Sweet, Jim. I really like how it looks so much like a leaf yet retains a lot of the larval features. Well photographed.

A fine look at this Chrysalis, Jim. The colors, even the touches of yellow blend in very well. The details in the larger view are wonderful. The black swallowtail cat. that I saw last week and was hoping to photograph as it matured, disappeared (darn it), probably eaten by a bird...
