Classic Camo

The spotted coloration of fawns has always been a classic for this sort of thing and since I was given the opportunity yesterday morning, it seemed fitting to take advantage of it.  There were two fawns with the doe and they've been around the area for awhile but just started coming through our property the last couple of days.  My wife was hanging the laundry when she spotted this one in the front yard-it's sibling and mother were in the tall grass and further away.

7Dii, Sigma 150-600 C @ 260 mm, hand held, f/9, 1/1600, iso 640, aperture priority, pattern metering, -2/3 EV ( a mistake-I didn't change it from my previous session).  Processed in LR & PS CC.  Cropped to an 11.9 MP 4x5 before resizing.  Taken at 8:00 am yesterday.

Your comments and criticisms are always appreciated.

Thanks,

Extra cute, Dennis. Excellent pose and the nice morning light let you get this nice and sharp. I also like the daisys in the bg. devil

Nice pose and nice details with this fawn Dennis. You can sure see how the spots help it blend in with the white daisies in the brown grasses int he BG.

This one isn't so well hidden here, Dennis, but I've seen them laying down in a green, dappled light forest setting and they are very hard to see.  The alert pose is great and the tall grasss behind add well to the setting.

Oh, this is a precious youngster...and the tall grass and flowers in the BG make a lovely backdrop!
