Hi Steve
I love this Puffins, even if it is just sitting on a rock. Nice detail and color.

Thanks Peter, a group isn't a problem, I just wanted to have an isolated one for a change.

A nice study in shapes - I like all the curves in the puffin and the rock.

'And nice work on the whotes and blacks'.

Thanks Jim, it's purely down to a well exposed image/reading the Histogram and controlling Contrast. A subject few folk teach enlightened.

Steve, this is a fine portrait.  Details of the face are impressive in the big image.  Well exposed, nice soft light, and well framed.  I like the natural setting and the bokeh of the BG.  Good work!

Nice exposure and natural colors in this Steve. Also great choice to stop down to f/11.
