This happened in a jiffy ! The ambush was over, a tiny jumping spider had spelt doom for the small blue butterfly. The violence and the struggle was quite evident from the scales all over the spider.

Nature seems cruel at times like this.  Great capture and perfect timing for both you and the spider, but not so for this beautiful butterfly.

Really fine capture of nature in action. Looks like the spider was wearing goggles to keep out the scales. Excellent.

Quite the catch, Balan.  Getting the eyes of both the spider and the bf adds a lot to this dramatic and well composed view.  You were in very close for this.
