What a fantastic setting. The placement of that tree trunk is a bit unfortunate, but the rim lighting on the subject sort of makes up for it and helps the dog pop nicely against it and the rest of the background. Great shot, Jagdeep.

Very nice. I love how camouflage the dog is and how uniform all the colors are. The shallow depth of field helps as well I think in keeping focus on the dog. I agree with Max about the tree and find its lean to the right a bit distracting. I personally would have tried straightening the tree in post and maybe trimming a bit off the left and right of the images. Thanks for sharing this image.

Wonderful light and rim lighting! I would not have questioned the lean of the tree, but upon reading Ryan's comment I looked again and it does seem that all of the smaller brush is mostly leaning the same way...so perhaps some rotation would make improvement? The harmony of rich color is exceptional.

Thanks friends !
Thanks Ryan! I do find merit in your suggestion. Here's the repost and colors seem to be better in this.

Fantastic Jagdeep! Seems like an enchanted forest with teh amazing backlit bamboo. And that's not even mentioning the dog with the rim lighting. The tree trunk location doesn't bother me. I find the original a little lighter and I prefer it to the repost (but I like the rotation).
Are those canines called wild dog in India and across the world? Might confuse people into thinking they're the same as their african cousins.
Cheers,
Hisham.

Really like this photo! I do believe the re-post is the better image. I like the colors in it best. I like how not all of the dhole shows, to me it gives a certain mystic quality to the image of the dhole. Thanks for sharing.

Great shot Jagdeep. I love the colors, more in the first than the second, but the ccr in the second is much better. Congratulation on the WP!
