Same day as my previous upload on Beartooth pass in Montana. I was driving to Yellowstone and got really lucky with the light considering it was during the early afternoon.

Canon 5D3, EF 70-200mm F/2.8  at 200mm

1/1000, F/19, ISO 800

Cheers,

Hisham.

This is just stunning. The flowers, beautiful light and dark background combine to make this special. I would try to clean up the noise in the dark background . Otherwise, no nits from me.

A terrific frame, the light  and the flowers really add to that. I would too like to clean up the noise, especially in the blue areas. BTW I was just wondering, why so much of noise with 5D mark3 at ISO 800?

Hisham: I really like the processing which has given a surrealistic and unique look to your frame. There are two nits which can be easily fixed: 1, the sky is noisy; and 2, there is a noticeable dust spot on your sensor. Richard

This is a great scene.  I like the contrast between the light in the foreground and the dark background.  I agree with the comments on the noise in the background.

I do like how the goat looks in this image, but, and it is just me, the dark blues just do not look real.  Also agree about the dust spots.  Still, a stand out image.

This is a wonderful shot.  Having lived 20 years in the West, I appreciate how those dark stormy skies can serve as a wonderful backdrop when the foreground is still lighted by the sun.  And to have the goat in flowers as well!  You couldn't be luckier, and you made the absolute most of this scene in your capture.

Love the mood of this image, all your posts are excellent but this one is my favorite.

This is visually dramatic.  Your processing to emphasize the shadowed background may have contributed to the noise artifacts mentioned by others.  It is a matter of subjective choice, but I think I would have allowed the background to be less in contrast with the foreground so that one would only think of it after studying the fine exposure of this mountain goat.  For me the rich dark blues compete for attention.  Conceptually, I think this is very strong and the composition is excellent as well.
