Last of the Tricolors for now, from August 2013. I was fortunate the bird posed nicely in good light for this full frame image. I did a little cloning of FG grasses.

I like the pose and the grass directly behind the heron. Good light. I'd consider cropping from the bottom to eliminate the small amount of neck in the reflection.

Great look at this guy. I also like the reeds in the background. Techs look spot on.

Light, details and colors are really nice. Until mentioned, I hadn't noticed the extra neck in this Bill. I would agree with Richard about reducing the small reflection of the neck in the bottom.

Rich and Ed, I actually considered the crop from bottom, so obviously I'm in agreement. Appreciate the input.

Sweet, Bill Excellent exposure and colors and I like the way you framed the bird against the hillock of grass.  I'd be tempted to take a touch off the bottom as the isolated neck reflection seems a bit distracting.

The light is really nice in this image.  Terrific pose.  And I agree with everyone else regarding the crop of the bottom to eliminate the neck reflection.

Outstanding composition in great light.  The clump of grasses behind the bird adds to this fine image.
