I photographed this Lesser Yellowlegs in Hammonasset Beach State Park,CT, on a very overcast evening.  I used a mono pole for the shot and cropped it by 20%.  I adjusted the exposure, contrast, and clarity in Lightroom.

Good pose and detail of the yellowlegs in a typical environment.

A good capture, Peter.  Nothing to fix on this one.  I like that you got all of the bird in focus.  There's a lot more to look at in the large version.

Good environmental presentation of this Lesser Yellowlegs.  I always find it difficult to make the plumage look tack sharp and I think it is an optical illusion.  You did well to catch this one over the water where the contrast is better than over mud.

Nice pose and good detail in the Yellowlegs, Peter.  Your shooting angle also looks nice and low, giving you a good bg.
