Thanks for your comments on the black and white version of this that I posted yesterday.  This color version is not cropped as tightly because the concentration is more on the color and composition, rather than fine details.  I decided to post this because Dennis Plank just commented that the hole in the leaf would work in the color version even though he does not like it in the B&W.  Interesting thought, Dennis.  I think I see what you mean.

I like this in color as well, Wayne.  Both images are really beautiful.  It's interesting how the b&w treatment seemed to "heal" most of the indications of decay except the hole.

Yes, this leaf looks familiar, Wayne.  The subtle colors in the leaf and the water drops look great here.  I also like the comp.

Wayne, I saw the B&W and I much prefer this. Having cut my photographic teeth working with B&W in the darkroom, I know how impressive it can be. Having said that, this version has the nuance of color gradient on the leaf, and in particular on the stem, that would be difficult or impossible to convey in B&W. Wonderful presentation.

Really difficult deciding whether the black-and-white version or the color version is more interesting.  They are different.  They each have their own attractions.  The black-and-white version is attractive to me because of its simplicity yet the complexity of the water droplets and the color is also appealing.  Thanks for showing both images.
