This was taken in the Gibbons Meadow a few years back. I loved the little cones in amongst the yellow grass and bright turning leaves. Thanks for your comments and suggestions. Canon 40D, f5.6, 1/50 sec, iso 125, 17-85 IS lens at 41 mm.

This is a lovely collection of colored leaves, Ed, with the various colors in the strawberry leaves spread very nicely through the frame.  The pine cones and sticks add some extra interest, although I could also see removing the one long stick prior to shooting.

Ed, a wonderful collection of colorful autumn items. The yellow grass makes a nice surrounding mat for the other items too. The cones are tiny guys for sure and look like acorn sized......enlightened
As it is a bright scene I might be tempted to turn the gamma down in the exposure a point or two, but that is a subjective thought and would be different from monitor to monitor.....laugh

A well seen slice of nature with good color distribution and detail.  Rather than removing the one long stick I would perhaps darken it.

Nice assortment of understory, Ed. I don't mind the sticks that much, but I'd suggest a slight crop just enough to remove the blade of grass at bottom edge.

A very interesting arrangement and variety of color in the leaves, Ed, and I like the open forest floor bg.  My only nit is the one green grass blade in the lower left that's parallel with the bottom.  For some reason it draws my eye and just does't seem to fit the test of the flow in the image.
