Pink White Trillium

As the flowers of Trillium grandiflorum -- the Great White Trillium -- begin to decay, they turn pink.  Seems that I always got to its habitat too early or too late to catch this phenomenon, but this spring I finally found a few.  The pink starts out pale, and grows more intense with time.  All the more saturated ones I found were looking pretty ragged, however.

Hi Wayne,

You captured this one before the flower degrades into total decay.  Overall looks good from here.........................Jim

Beautiful, fragile colors, very sharp in the larger version.  I really like the DOF.
