Family Portrait

I took this photo in a small town in northwestern India. I liked the different poses and how the family members interacted (or not) with each other. As is often seen in  India, the women are beautifully dressed. Olympus E-M1 and 12-40 lens at 1/250, f/4 and ISO 200. Richard

I really like the contrast between the bright clothes and happy smiles against the drab somewhat rundown wall behind and dirt under foot. This shows so much character in all of the family members, even the little boys distracted with other issues. Cool shot Richard.

These beautiful women were clearly having a good time. They are like colorful birds in a desert! Nicely seen.

Excellent PJ image, Richard. The colors of the clothes and especially the delighful smiles of your subjects, all make for a fun capture.

I like this because the composition is as good as a well arranged studio set-up, but the entire mood is spontaneous and filled with obvious life.  Great colors too!

Richard, Your people images are the best. Composition, color, clarity, spontaneity and, well, everything, is as good as can be. This one is no exception. Thanks you for posting them. Keep them coming.

Great photo for all the reasons expressed. I’d love to know what made the women smile so broadly. The little boys remain absorbed in their own worlds. I guess the viewers make their own sense of the scene. Still. . .
