Rocks at Sunset

I took this picture at swami beach in S. California. The sun was just beginning to set and was casting and wonderful collage of colors on the beach. The rocks create great contrast with the sand. I like the subtle sheen to the rocks the granularity of the sand in the hues the setting sun cast on the wet sand.  All commentary is appreciated Ry

Beautiful contrasting colors, and I like the diagonal you found! I see you've gone for a relatively-narrow DOF, and I find some disappointment that that first foreground rock isn't sharp. It's bottom is a little tight in the frame too.

Ry, you've caught some fine colors reflecting in the wet sand and the series of stones is angled across the frame very well.  I agree with Ronald that a bit more dof, so the the first rock was sharp and just a bit of sand at the bottom would be good, subtle improvements.  I'm also thinking that this is more than 12 - 24 inches across the long axis, which I would take as meaning it belongs in Landscape.

I love the colors in this image.  I agree with the other comments already made.  It is a fine image as is, but would have been even better with more DOF.
