Jerry: really like the pose of the bear as it stands isolated on the rock and there's excellent detail in the dark fur. The scraps of salmon at its feet tell the story. While scrolling, I "cropped" the upper log and thought this might be an alternative presentation. Excellent! Richard

Great pose. Sharp where it needs to be. I would agree with the crop from the top to take out the log, but it's still pretty good as is.

Jerry, I really like the overall color in this. The beautiful browns and greens of the water are great, but the bear's pose and look are exceptional. I kind of like the branch across the top of the frame to give this some depth.

Really nice detail in this bear. Love the pose on the big rock, the remaining bits of salmon and the color of the water. My first thought was to crop out the log at the top but on second thought I agree with Ed that it adds depth.

It has everything, Great perch; wonderful subject; story line and lots of details in the blacks, looks like bear is trying to balance on the rock.
I agree that log adds the depth to image, but croping it makes the frame simple and more effective.
