Jerry, I love this pose on the end of the log. Look's like the bear is surveying the stream for fish.  Isn't that part of BC one of the most beautiful places you've ever seen?

Hi Jerry,

Bear looks good and has that scar on the muzzle for character. You could try different crops on this one by taking some off the right  But in my honest opinion, I like this one as presented.devil.................Jim

Jerry, the larger version shows the beautiful, rich colors and the wonderful detail.  I like the composition as presented.

I have been viewing and enjoying all of your Spirit Bear photos, Jerry, and this is my favorite one.  I love the mood of this one and all the rich vegetation for a backdrop.  The perch on the log makes it special also.  Because of the direction of it's gaze, I think it could afford a little crop on the right and top.  I think it would balance better, be less centered and have it looking into the frame.  Some great captures!

A different crop was suggested by a few, so here you are. Thanks for all the comments.

This is my favorite of the poses of these first four.  I don't think you could get a better choice of positioning!  If anything, I would consider a slight crop to remove some of right side...
