Hate it when they stand

With apologies to Gary Larson.  Black capped Chickadee.   This could have easily been cropped as a vertical but I really liked the diagonal layers of fall colors through the image.  Taken this morning under partially overcast skies with some patchy sun in the background.  About 8 feet from closest feeder.

Iso 1000, 600 mm, F 11, 400th, D 850, -1.7 EV, fill flash at zero, tripod, 55% full frame, Topaz adjust, TK sharpening action

He sure is beautiful, and you captured him so perfect, David.  Such great detail, and that background does compliment him nicely.

Excelent detail. Nice work with the exposure to keep both whites and blacks under control.

Hi David,

A wonderful com.  The negative space works very well and you captured the chickadee before it left the scene. Well done.................Jim

The colors are very nice as stated David. Great techs on this and I like the diagonal perch.
