A great moment captured, and the color pallette is wonderful. I might crop a little off the right; seems a better balance to me.

This image suggests a French Impressionist painting. I like it. The steamy breath from the bull is especially poignant.

Sandy, the colors here are wonderful (so distracting--in a good way--that I didn't even notice the steamy breath immediately). On my screen the image does look a tick warm overall.
In regards to Ronald's crop suggestion, I think you have a couple choices. You could crop off the right as he said to put the bull smack in the middle of the image (the diagonal line of colors behind the elk would bisect the frame nicely). Or you could crop slightly off the left side in order to get the bull more in the left third. I think either of these choices give the image better balance, but right now the subject is sort of floating in between.

Lol! Some want it centered, others squawk if they feel it is too centered!
I cropped as is to take best advantage of the colourful fall flowers.

I like this, but I do believe it is a bit too saturated. It looks a touch artificial to my eye. I would back off the saturation to see what that reveals.

I like the crop as you have it. I like the saturation of the surroundings. With the caveat that I have never seen an elk in person, this one seems a little unnaturally saturated to me. I might try a bit of desaturation of only the elk. I think the surroundings are beautiful.

Looks as if it's time to calibrate again. My colours are showing up weird again - the image was not this saturated on the computer.
Will re-do and re-post tomorrow.

Sandy: a beautifully captured scene. The animal's pose is perfect and the hot breath from its bugling is a big plus. The only nit is that the image seems a bit over saturated. Great otherwise. Richard

Sandy, nice work to get the BG with the bright spots of flowers and foliage in on this one. The composition is really well balanced. I also really like the bull's breath as he is bugling. Cool shot.

I like this as is as far as the pose, crop and ground vegetation. I think I would layer and mask the elk, desaturating it a bit. At a guess, I would say you are too far in the red overall.

Fine moment and I find the comp to be satisfying. Color saturation issues already discussed...
