Willet on a Stroll

This is from late August. Willets are common here and tolerant. It's likely that they are residents who recognize and tolerate me. Slight boost in saturation and I cloned a couple pieces of debris. Full frame.

Nice one, Bill.  Excellent soft light and plumage detail and I like the pose.  I'm ambivalent aboout the dirty foam streak across the top.  While I like the lines of it alone, I think it distracts a bit from the Willet.

Hi Bill, I like the low angel on this. I am fine with the water line and it almost frames the bird in my opnion.

FWIW, what looks like dirty foam is actually a wavelet, and the color is due to the naturally muddy bottom in the MS sound. The white sand is only along the shore brought in to create the beach..

I really like the color in this image.  Pleasing composition.  I like the light.  The lifted foot is really pretty neat.  I'm also okay with the water line above the bird.  But just to see how it looks you might wish to throw in a slight tilt shift blur.  Just another way to look at it.

Hi Bill
To tell the truth, I didn't really see the dirty sea foam until I started reading the comments.  Maybe cropping off the top of the frame some would bring your eye back to the Willet?  By the way I really like the Willet.
