Here's a photo of the Eiffel Tower taken at night using the camera's live composite feature. After a base exposure is taken, the camera only records increases in luminosity. Olympus E-M1 and 17 mm lens at f/4.5, ISO 400 and 60 seconds plus. On close inspection, you can see the beginnings of star trails and an airplane's contrail. Richard

Richard, this an interesting image, and exposure concept. I'll have to try it with my EM-1, so thank you for sharing.

According to a quirk in French copyright laws it is illegal to circulate photos of the Eiffel Tower taken at night but ok during the day.  Go figure.  I think it has something to do with the lights.  Anyhow, I like the image Richard.  Nice comp, especially the dimly lit buildings below.  I promise I won't turn you in...

Bill and David: thanks for the comments. David-think that I'll skip town before the French cops can find me and to paraphrase a line that James Cagney spoke in a very old movie "Come and get me (French) copper" !! Richard

This is a little bit different image of the Eiffel Tower. The large image looks sharp and well exposed.
