Road To The Clouds

I was in the eastern Sierra last week. Tuesday night and Wed. it blew pretty good and during the day Wed, lenticulars built up out toward Nevada. If you can't photograph leaves in a heavy wind, try clouds. :)

Those clouds are fantastic! I also like the amount of ground and including the roads was a great idea. Very cool.

What a cloud display.  If you are so inclined to bring a bit more drama out of the foreground, ie:  dodge the road and burn the rest.  Sorta reminiscent of some Chuck Kimmerle's empty country images. I like it fine as is, the understated sage and road work quite well.  The more I dink with it, the more I like the dark top cropped.  Interesting conditions for sure.

I like this image very much as well. The dirt road winding into those central 3 clouds leads to many thoughts. Great stuff.
