Posturing

There were a couple of times when we had two Spirit Bears together at the same time. On one occasion, we had three, but they were further apart. These two approached each other cautiously and did a bit of posturing. The bear on the left is a female at least fifteen years old. The bear on the right is a younger male. Processed with Lightroom, Photoshop and Lightzone. Comments and critiques welcome.

Jerry, how wonderful to get two spirit bears together.  This is a cool scene.

I've found that some of these photos seem slightly dark... but that's probably a good representation of the conditions there, and it contributes to the "ghostliness" of the bears.  I do think you could crop a bit off the bottom here, but overall it really is a fine (and uncommon) image.

Jerry: wonderful to have captured the two together. Have you considered raising the brightness level just a bit? Having shot there, I know that it's a dark setting, but a bit more light would be an improvement. Richard

How nice to get two Spirit bears in the same image.  I like the details in the river and how well the two bears show in all of the darkness.

There is a calmness and serenity in this image! I wouldn't change a thing!
