Another Shaker

Another shaker. This one had just finished an attempt on a salmon and felt the need to shake off the water. I liked the clear look at that eye. Processed with Lightroom, Photoshop and Lightzone. Comments and critiques welcome.

It's really worth seeing the large image, because the detail you caught in the eye is great.  Nice spray here and given the fact that it's such a dark scene you captured some nice detail.  Honestly, I'm not entirely sure whether the composition could be improved or not.  I suppose one could emphasize the directionality of the bear (with that snout pointing right) and put it more to the left in the frame, or you could decide that the round spray itself is the emphasis and put it directly in the center... lots of options and it's hard to pick a favorite.

Great analysis from Max.  Only VERY tiny thing I can see for a tweak (and this is cool enough for that kind of attention) is to see if you can pull out the outline of the ear in post processing, so the bear's head is more defined.  As is,  the ear is kind of melting into the dark background.

Good catch, Lon. Here you go. I pulled out the outline of teh ear slightly. I think it helps withourt it being obvious what I did.

Another killer black bear photo, Jerry!  Love the shaking going on here and it's quite impressive how well you were able to stop the action with it's eye in perfect focus!    The water spray excellent also.  Great opportunity and an excellent job of capitalizing on it!  devil
