The Last Frost

This and the red leaf I posted previously (and some other leaves) were taken in my yard a few years ago, I don't remember which year.  I presume the weather history says we've had frost since then, but this was the last winter I personally have seen frost in my yard.  If I were to try this picture now, I'd get flat on the ground to do it, but at the time I didn't know to do that, so I lowered the contrast and the brightness of the background to make the foreground stand out more.

This is a neat collection of little plants, Barbara.  The collection of frost looks great.  If you burn-in that one frosty stick touching the top of the frame, it will attract less attention.  Are these dried up flower or seed heads?  I really like their shape.

Barbara, I feel like I am looking in a Tiffany's window!  So jewel-like and unique, I really like the way you captured this frosty scene.

Hi, Mark.  I actually don't know or remember what these were.  I've redone this and decided to clone over that stick at the top.

Barbara this is so fun. I love the jeweled wheel effect from the frost on the flowers. Repost is a nice improvement on an already nice scene.

Removing that stick at the top is a nice improvement.

Some really beautiful frosted flower heads in this image, Barbara.  A nice composition as well.  Your treatment of the bg worked well.  The repost is even nicer.  Well done.
