Thats a notification of winter in the tropics, with temperatures dipping to about 18 degree celcius, its quite cold by our standards, and very heavy dew fall in the open areas.

I guess this is the " black stream glider"

Wow, Balan, this is really a neat macro shot.  I love the dew on him, and every drop seems tact sharp.  Well done.  Worth getting up early to go out and find this gem.

Large view is a must see.  It looks as if it is decked out in jewels.  Really great shot.

Thats an astonishing covering of dew, Balan, that shows wonderfully in the large view.  I'm interested in why there's no dew on the head.

Mark, thanks for your comment on my image. Its an important question that you have asked here. Having watched the dragonflies through their "drying up" session. Here is the answer.

1. The oval shaped head "may" not hold the dew, where as the rest of the body and wings have the grooves, that hold the dew.
2. At 7 in the morning, when I start the shoot, the dragon flies are not frozen, and they are already active. Its just that they cannot fly off with all the dew on them. The use their forearms to wipe off the dew on the head and eyes. They are already moving their head.

These could be the possible reasons. Have included a wider image of the dragonfly holding on to the grass stalk.

Many thanks Mark...and this is the kind of comment that makes one a better nature photographer, and I would sure have my little brain working, when I shoot next time. Rather than just Click.

Very cool image Balan!  A bedazzled dragon!  The detail in the large image is excellent!  I like the light - no strong highlights.  The background complements the image very well too.  Nice work!

Striking collection of dews, Balan. Like the composition and symmetry. Thanks for the explanation too. Just excellent!
