Venice Side Canal

I was going through some old photos and rediscovered this from a trip in April 2010.  Venice is a wonderful city and I'd love to go back, especially with other photographers.  We came across this lovely scene and I was surprised no people were visible.  I set my camera on the bridge rail to take the shot, but my companions, my wife and our close friends there on the left, couldn't wait the whole 30 seconds.  As I was try ing to get them to stop and get out of the scene, the other family appeared, so I took the shot anyway.

I'd love to hear what you think.

I've never been there, but you've shown how photogenic Venice is.  I like the composition, the reflections, and the many colors.  I think the people add, rather than detract.

Wonderful composition with the leading lines, and the reflection of the bridge making a but bulls-eye   I agree with Allan about the people.  What's a city without people?

This turned out great. Love the circle created by the bridge and reflection and the people work well in the colorful scene. Very cool!

Steve

I like this shot, especially the bridge and reflection.  I do not think the people detract, I think they add to it.
