I am really enjoying watching the Red Breasted Nuthatch and its behavior around my feeders.  It has a lot of personality.  There are several that regularly visit.  And they seem to function quite well in the wind and rain.

Iso-5000, 600 mm, F9, 640th, -1 EV, fill flash at zero, tripod, D 500, DxO optics lab, ACR 10, Topaz adjust, TK sharpening action at 40%

I love the perch, David, and the Nuthatch isn't bad either.  Excellent detail a nice pose and great bg.  Not to mention the wonderful composition created by the perch.

Well done. Bird, bg, composition, exsposure. Just to be a "nit" picker, I wish you could have had a little "catch eye". Maybe not possible with the angle of the light.

A simple and sweet portrait of this little character David. A great perch, awesome details and I especially like the dual toned background.

A Beauty!

Excellent detail here - nice pose, comp, great lichen, and BG.
IMO, a little more room at the bottom would improve this further.
Well done!

A nice composition with the pose, perch, and background.  Very good detail in a bird that doesn't usually stay still very long.

Really dig those mossy perches you have in WA. It makes me wish we grew moss here! sad
I loved the curved branch and think the comp looks good. My only tiny nit is I wish you had a touch more room on the bottom of this one. If you don't have it or cropped to get rid of something distracting, maybe make this a slight pano (16 x 9 or 10) and take the extra room from the top. It just feels a tiny bit bottom heavy to me.
