These rocks are in the Merced River in Yosemite valley. They were picking up morning bounced light off Glacier Point.

Nice color and wonderful texture, Harley. The shutter speed was perfect to capture the movement of the water. I like the hints of blue and the nice glow of the water-smoothed rocks. Nic!

Great SS choice and lots of textures and details to enjoy in the large version, Harley. This is a wonderful intimate landscape.

Harley,

Excellent, intimate rock and flowing water scene.  The shutter speed has really brought out some wonderful "amber" details in the water flow above the rocks, just before the water flows down and between the rocks.  That reflected light found at various locations in the valley can be magical; It's like having a giant reflector illuminating and enhancing the scene.

Great job isolating the set of nicely rounded granite rocks; everything is arranged wonderfully.  Love this one Mr. H.

If I had one minor suggestion it would be for a general soft burn of the bottom 1/3 or so.  Ever so slightly bright to my eye.  But certainly close enough to give this image 2 thumbs up! :-)

Nice tight view, think maybe a slightly longer shutter speed to smooth ut the water more, while still holding the detail.  Particularly in the lowest areas of the water.  The touches of blue are a bonus to this; diagonal rocks draw me through the image.

The golden rocks angling across the frame and the strong movement in the water look great, Harley.

Wonderful river details in a well balanced composition. Those golden highlights and overall warm balance is very appealing. Processing looks very natural. If it were mine I might experiment with coaxing a bit more blue out of the shadow areas/water highlights. Nicely seen.

Love the golds and the texture in the rocks, along with the gentle flow of the water.  Wonderful intimate image of this river, Harley.
