Main Street
by Ian Wolfenden
The streets of many of New Zealand's small towns and settlements have changed little since the 1950s or even the 1930s. No shopping malls, just shops - single storey buildings of traditional wood construction or of stone, often fronted by a simple arcade, lining the streets; here, in Lumsden, South Island.

Only change for possible improvement was to swing ever so slightly right to include the extended end of the street light hanging out there.
