This was at Ridgefield National Wildlife Refuge a few days ago on crisp and clear morning.  Lots of hawk activity on this day.  I like the subtle pastel background with fall colors.  Needs to be seen large.

Iso 1600, 200-500 at 500 mm, F8, 3200th, D 850, handheld, 50% full frame, DxO optics lab, ACR 10, Topaz adjust, TK sharpening action at 50%

Sweet, David.  I've never been able to get a harrier flight shot there for some reason and this one is excellent.  You might want to clone out the bright oof twigs on the lower left as they do pull my eye, but otherwise its beautiful.

Well done, David. I like how you framed this to include the hunting territory. I've never gotten any decent images of these guys.

I thought the twigs Dennis mentions were trees in the distance where the harrier has its home. As long as I believe that, I say leave them in. Excellent image. Definitely need to see the large image.

Nice BIF of this female David. The foliage offered a really nice background and the head turn makes the shot for me.

David: excellent hunting pose and detail in the bird which really stands out nicely against the pastel background. You might consider  darkening the branches in the LLC. Fine otherwise. Richard

A sweet flight action capture David! The background puts this one over the top for me.

Excellent Work!
