Passerina cyanea

I have not been around for quite a while, too many things, mainly work, competing for my time. Any free time I have, I have been trying to get out looking for birds. Hopefully I can start spending more time on NPN. This Indigo Bunting is one from back in July.

Excellent singing pose, interesting perch and good detail.  Well done.  I hope to find one of these next week in South Texas.

Glad to see you back, Matt.  This is beautiful.  A wonderful singing pose and a superb job on those difficult blues.  I like the composition as well.

Wonderful bird! Blue birds for me, from The Netherlands, are always so exotic, since we do not have any blue birds here.. Nice pose, and well done on the techs! Cheers, Hans

Beautiful light and well composed.  The detail is stunning in the larger image.  It almost seems oversaturated but I've never seen one of these birds and I cannot judge.

I missed you, Matt, with your beautiful images and excellent critiques.  This is really beautiful!  I just love the color of him, and that background is so smooth, making him and his perch really stand out.  So well done.

Welcome back Matt. This is so bright and cheery. I love the BG and the detail in the perch and bird are great.
