The repost has better perspective for the bird with more detail in the white areas of the head. I also followed Phil’s suggestion in removing some of the “twiggery” over the heron’s shoulder.

Nicely composed David. Re-editing the comp works well allowing for a bit more room above the bird's shoulder, and you made a nice adjustment to the white feathers as well.

Unusual composition. Only suggestion would be maybe come in closer on the bird so it looks more central to the image.
