This little guy climbed a tree as a large male bear approached he and his mom on a remote stream in the Great Bear Rainforest. He stayed there until mom grunted her approval to descend back down to the stream. Processed with Lightroom, Photoshop and Lightzone. Comments and critiques welcome.

Great shot. I like the pose you caught him in and it goes nicely with the story behind the shot. There is a nice crispness to the tree and bear that gives a sense of being there.

Really great eye contact, Jerry. You had a great bear year. I would like to see this cropped a bit, to put the eyes at the upper left intersection of thirds. I think that would make him feel higher in the tree and would add some more tension.

Jerry: there's great detail in the bear's coat and its face in particular. The eye contact is very nice. It almost looks like you were on eye level with the cub. Congrats! Richard
