3 Sandhills in Flight

I was disappointed with all but a handful of flight shots from my recent trip to Bosque, this being one that I thought worthwhile, albeit not very good. I liked the approach angle and flight positions of this trio with the juvenile flanked by the parents.

Excellent image quality, Bill.  I do like the wing positions.  I take a lot of this kind, but I do prefer some other bg than the blue sky.  Unfortunately, AF works best on that, so that's where I have the most keepers.  Given that line, you might want to crop to a pano.

Dennis made an excellent suggestion! I would count this a keeper, but I've only been by there, and I only have some captivity shots of Sandhills!cheeky

I like the perfect spacing in this one along with the two similar and one very different pose, nice work Bill. devil

Ditto Nate's comment.  I love the diagonal and the spacing.

Bill: very good to have captured the birds on the diagonal and so nicely spaced. Maybe a pano crop would work in this situation since the sky doesn't offer much in the way of interest. Richard

Thanks for the comments. I was lucky with the spacing between the birds. I actually saved a pano version as Dennis and Richard suggest, but decided to keep the 3:2 aspect.

The large image has superb detail.  These birds are fine to watch in flight and this is well done and composed.
